Application Forms



To receive an application packet, please contact our Head of School, Ed McManis, at 415.922.6081, or email emcmanis@sterneschool.org .

We invite parents who have received our admissions materials to call the school and sign up for one of our Parent Tours, which are scheduled throughout the fall and winter. We are eager to talk with you about our program and introduce you to our students at work in their classrooms.

After visiting, we encourage you to submit application forms and related materials. There is no application fee. We look forward to welcoming you to Sterne School.

Applications checklist:
  • Application Form
  • List of Professionals who have evaluated of worked with your student
  • Copies of student testing within the past three years
  • Copies of one and/or all of the following: WISC-IV (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-IV, or Woodcock Johnson Tests of Cognitive Abilities, or Stanford Binet Intelligence Test
  • Copies of one and/or all of the following:  WIATT-II (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test), or Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement, or Peabody Individual Achievement Tests (PIAT), or Kaufman-Achievement Battery for Children (K-ABC)
  • Copies of progress reports and/or report cards, especially for the previous year
  • Copies of standardized testing at your student's school, such as ERB and CTBS
